Have you ever considered that an animal could help you to determine the location of another animal? Until last year it was not really something that I have ever considered, until I had my first conversation with a fish!
In September 2022, I decided to take a trip to the Bahamas, to go swimming with the Atlantic Spotted Dolphins, and during my time there I feel like I learnt even more about my capacities as an Animal Communicator.
There were two dogs who frequented the Wildquest Retreat Centre where I was staying on the island of Bimini, and I became good friends with them. I had a particular soft spot for the brown and white dog who told me his name was Sammy.
One day I was sat with the other dog Boy, when I said to him ‘Where is Sammy?’ Boy pricked up his ears up and he said to me telepathically “I’ll take you to him, follow me.” Sure enough, I followed him and he led me to where Sammy was laid, out of sight behind a bush. I don’t know why but it had never occurred to me that I could ask one animal to locate another animal for me!
Later on, I was snorkelling in the ocean, and I decided to try the same thing with the fish. A shoal of fish swam past me and I focused on them and said “Hi, do you know if there are any turtles around here?” The fish responded, “Yes there is one over there in the deeper part of the ocean.” I focused on one unusual looking fish and said “Can you take me to the turtle?” It said “Sure, follow me.”
Not sure if I was imagining this conversation but determined to find out, I followed the unusual looking fish out into the depths, and it swam right over the top of a turtle! I couldn’t believe it, it was like the fish were acting as my underwater navigating system!
I swam with the turtle for a while appreciating its beauty, and then I returned to the fish and asked “Are there any rays around here?” Again the fish responded “yes” and started swimming in a different direction and I followed them directly to an electric ray!
I was overjoyed with this experience and returned to the boat to tell the boat crew of my experience. The captain said “Please can you ask the fish where the dolphins are so that we can swim with them!”
So I tuned into all the fish in the ocean and said “Please can you let the dolphins know that we would like to swim with them, but if they want us to know where they are, they will need to jump out of the water so we can see them!”
I relayed this message to the captain, who was now confident in my capacity to talk to animals, and he replied “Well I cant see any dolphins jumping on the horizon so they must be further out to sea!” He started driving the boat out to sea, and as we reached deeper waters we were greeted with a spectacular display of dolphins all jumping out of the water in unison. The captain said he had never seen so many dolphins jumping together at one time!
We enjoyed the display for a while and then the dolphins gave their permission for us to enter the water with them, and we had the opportunity to swim with them and listen to their beautiful healing tones! It was such a magical day!!
I enjoyed the experience so much, that it inspired me to start facilitating my own retreat swimming with dolphins in Bimini, and my first one took place on 1st to 7th September 2024, and I it was such a success that I intend to run another retreat in 2025.
