Every Wednesday morning i volunteer at Nelson SPCA centre, cleaning the cages and offering healing and communication to any animals that are struggling. Last December, while I was busy cleaning the kitten enclosure, I heard what sounded like a cat wailing from one of the oher enclosures. I walked over to communicate with him, and he told me he was looking for his owner, and was very concerned because he didn’t know where she was. When I asked the staff what his story was, it turned out his elderly female owner had been taken into care and the cat had unfortunately had to be surrendered to the SPCA.
I went and sat with him and I could feel his grief at the seperation from his owner, I flowed angelic reiki to him and as soon as I did he stopped making the wailing sound. I told him his owner was now being taken care of in a home, and that he had done a very good job being her pet cat, but that his journey with her was now over. I could feel his grief at the this loss and I shed a few tears as I connected in with his emotions.
He told me he didn’t like being confined in the cage, and I told him it was only a temporary situation until a new family were found for him. Immediately, the Angels showed me a new family that were on their way to him, and I asked him if he would like to go and live with a family with children on a large plot of land. I explained to him that he would have his independance again but would also be loved my this new family. As I was communicating this to him, one of the staff members walked over and said she’d just recevied a phone call from a family with children that were interested in rehoming him and were coming to view him that very afternoon.! They lived on a farm where he would have the opportunity to roam as he pleased. I communicated this to him and he seemed happy with his new arrangement although he said he would need some time to grieve the loss of his previous owner. I asked the staff to explain to the new owners that he may be quieter than usual for the first few days while he accustomed to his new home. A few hours later, he was on his way to start his new life with his new family. A happy ending for this cat at Christmas time.
